Styled Through The Seasons, Summer 2025

After having done these capsules for a few years, if there is one season I have found challenging to style, it is the summer season. A key challenge when it comes to styling for the Indian summer is how hot it gets over here during the summer months, making it impractical to layer (something I love doing). This translates into being more intentional with picking items, such that they can stand on their own.

As it tends to be, I started putting together the capsule by first selecting a few seasonal items. I knew I am going to need shorts owing to how hot it gets and included a bunch of shorts for the hotter days (including one in pink!)The next step was to pick a few summer friendly items made from light and breathable fabrics like linen and cotton. These include a linen shirt from Bhaane, cotton trousers from Muji, Uniqlo, and Nicobar. Lastly, all of my tee’s were selected based on breathability including a couple of new ones from Muji and Uniqlo.

As the capsule began taking shape and after picking the summer-friendly items, I started adding based on color. I have tried to compensate for the challenge of not being able to layer by adding pop using color. Some of the colors that makes regular appearance are red, blue, white, and green!
